Digging Crew Lead Hand
April to November
Cheyenne Tree Farms Ltd. is a family owned and operated Tree Nursery located in Beaumont, Alberta ten minutes south of Edmonton. We are currently looking to fill the position of Digging Crew Lead Hand. The successful applicant should have a positive and safety conscious attitude with excellent communication skills. Self-motivation will be a key skill to successfully supervising the Digging Crew and to efficiently produce high quality basketed caliper trees. Primary responsibilities include leading a designated crew to ensure that quality work is done efficiently, training new employees in the safe operation of all equipment, assisting in assembling and shipping wholesale orders, assisting in receiving incoming plant material, and completing caliper tree deliveries and installations in a professional and efficient manner.
Applicant Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Level 1 First Aid
- Minimum 2 years Skid Steer operation
- Minimum 1 year 5 ton Truck operation
- Nursery experience an asset

Container Production Supervisor
February to November
Cheyenne Tree Farms Ltd. is a family owned and operated Tree Nursery located in Beaumont, Alberta ten minutes south of Edmonton. We are currently looking to fill the position of Container Production Supervisor. The successful applicant should have a positive and safety conscious attitude with excellent communication skills. Self-motivation will be a key skill to successfully supervising the Production Department to efficiently produce high quality plants. Primary responsibilities include supervising designated crews to ensure that quality work is done efficiently, training new employees and conducting orientation in the department, submission of daily costing, time and production reports to the Container Production Manager, assuring availability of necessary materials, assisting in assembling and shipping wholesale orders, assisting in receiving incoming plant material, and organization and maintenance of containerized plant material.
Applicant Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Level 1 First Aid
- Minimum 1 year nursery experience
Field Production Manager
February to November
Cheyenne Tree Farms Ltd. is a family owned and operated Tree Nursery located in Beaumont, Alberta ten minutes south of Edmonton. We are currently looking to fill the position of Field Production Manager. This position is responsible for all aspects of caliper and pot-in-pot tree production. This position requires a high level of self motivation as well as superior communication skills.
Applicant Requirements:
- Horticulture Diploma with 5 years experience or Journeyman designation in Horticulture with 5 years experience.
- Diploma in Business Management or certificate courses
- Pesticide Applicators Certificate
- Computer Skills
- Level 1 First Aid
Tree Nursery Production Worker
April to October
Cheyenne Tree Farms Ltd. is a family owned and operated Tree Nursery located in Beaumont, Alberta ten minutes south of Edmonton. We are currently looking to fill the positions of Nursery Production Worker. This position deals with a variety of plant propagation and development from the ground up as such the successful applicant should be able to lift and carry 25kg (50lbs). This position involves but is not limited to planting and storing bare root trees, transplanting and maintaining woody shrub material, transplanting and maintaining containerized trees, and shipping and receiving. This is a great position for someone who wants to learn about the production of woody plant material on the prairies or for someone who loves to work outside with plants!
Greenhouse Production Worker
March to end of April
Cheyenne Tree Farms Ltd. is a family owned and operated Tree Nursery located in Beaumont, Alberta ten minutes south of Edmonton. We are currently looking to fill the positions of Greenhouse Production Worker. This position is responsible for planting and maintaining perennials and roses in a sunny, warm greenhouse atmosphere. This is a 6 - 8 week term position that could lead to further employment. The perfect position for someone who loves plants and wants to learn more!
Garden Center and Nursery Sales Associate
May to October
We are currently seeking high energy people who love being outside, working with plants, can provide great customer service and are not afraid to get your hands dirty - then this is the place. We are a family owned and operated Tree Nursery / Garden Center located in Beaumont, Alberta ten minutes south of Edmonton. We are currently looking for Sales Associates. This position is the company representation that our customers know. This position requires someone who can talk to people, help them with their questions, and learn about the plant material. Both full and part time positions available.
