Showy panicles of lightly-scented lilac purple flowers emerge from distinctive hot pink flower buds. Light green foliage turnIing buttery yellow in fall. The smooth gray bark is not particularly outstanding. Dwarf
Panicles of purple buds open to single, deep pink-purple flowers during mid June on large, pyramidal spikes two weeks later than most lilacs. Deep green, heavily textured leaves complement the flower spikes.
